6. Whole grain breads instead of wheat breads. Wheat breads instead of white breads.
7. Sweet potatoes instead of quarterly potatoes.

9. Fresh and natural produce because they are low in calories, sodium, fat, and sugars compared to processed foods.

13. White meat instead of dark (for poultry) - the breast region of a chicken or turkey
14. Go skinless (for poultry) - much of their fats are attached on the skin so strip the skin off.
15. Unprocessed nuts and legumes - raw almonds, pecans, unsalted cashews, unsalted peanuts, unsalted pistachios, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds.
16. High-protein, low-calorie shakes
17. Any seafood - crab, crayfish, mussels, shrimp, oyster, scallops, and sea cucumber.
